In AZ, I don't have to be tested again till I'm 65 and then over that age I think you go years inbetween testing. I wouldn't even mind being tested annually if it meant the elderly were tested because, damn, I'm sick of elderly people driving into stuff. Yes, I know not all elderly people are bad drivers, but they're the second most dangerous demographic next to 16 and 17 year olds.

Once you turn 65, you will still have to come in for annual vision tests but no further driving tests.

Arizona does not give a second driving test unless your license was pulled or expired.

I agree.. and I think as people age their problems arise more quickly... unfortunately when my state started the battle it was considered discrimination if they did it... but that's something I never understood because an older person is more quickly to lose their senses then a younger person.. an older person is going to lose their eye sight quicker than a younger person, and older person is more likely to have problems with their brain than younger people... it's not discrimination it's biology-I think once someone hits 60 they should start testing them more often

So why aren't 16-20 year olds retested annually?

Satistically, they are the worst drivers on the road.

Old drivers are usually just slow. That's not very dangerous, just annoying. The worst drivers, after kids, are jerks on cell phones.
