I know that pre-1920 silver coins were sterling silver 92.5% silver 7.5% copper, post 1946 they're cupro-nickel 75% copper 25% nickel and inbetween they were only 50% silver but they went through a couple of compostion changes.. I would like the know what other metals in what percentage were used during this time pleeeease

Also .. had no idea which topic to put this under

Don't know % but I'm sure brass was used hence saying " don't own a brass farthing" Farthing being 1/4 penny,
