I am 11 weeks pregnant and my doctor told me absolutely, no way was I to eat luncheon meat unless it was heated to steaming. There are too many nitrates and the possibility of listeria in luncheon meats.

Sure she can eat luncheon meat BUT it is BAD for her to eat food that has preservatives and high sodium content. She should try to eat foods that area s natural to their original form as possible, and if she can, organic foods. Best for mummy, best for baby!

Don't eat FISH since it may have contaminates (tuna from the can is fine) and don't let her handle cats (they carry a bacteria (?) that can kill fetus'). Fresh lunch meat is fine. I wouldn't eat raw or under cooked meat.
