Well you could get them in 3 ways. The first would be to make a fire, wait for the logs to turn into coals, and then retrieve the coals, the second would be to really naughty around Christmas. Santa is known to give lumps of coal to bad boys and girls (If you are Santa you already know this), the third is to go to a candy store. They usually sell large peices of gum that look just like coal. My parents once gave me that in my stocking and I was really disappointed until I found out it was gum. Good luck!

If there is a train that makes a delivery to a power plant in your area, there will be all kinds of pieces of coal on that railroad track close by the powerplant.
