You may be douching too much. The natural ph balance could be upset. Don't worry. It could be from antibotics or a yeast infection. Try some over the counter treatment before you freak.

Hi. If you say you douche a lot, that is bad for you. You see, douching normally upsets the natural balance in body chemistry. It is best not to douch at all, because women really do NOT need it. Our bodies naturally cleanse themselves all day, every day. Douching can cause anything from extra dryness, to yeast infections, to bacterial vaginosis.
The strong odor that you say you have sounds like Bacterial Vaginosis (BV). It comes as a slightly different colored discharge and STRONG odor until it is treated. It develops for Douching too much, sex where high levels of bacteria are exchanged, or sometimes just naturally as an accident. You need to see the gyno, hun so you can get treated. There is no over the counter treatment and yeast medicine will not work. So, see your gyno, or go to the free clinic near you and get a prescription. It will take about 7 days and 1-2 pills daily to get rid of it. No sex about 4 days after it has cleared, ok! Good luck.

Quit douching!!!!! That's what's contributing to the cause. you are washing away the good bacteria that fights the bad bacteria.
It's probably BV (bacterial vaginosis) which usually goes away on it's own if you have a healthy diet and healthy immune system. Sometimes you need an antibiotic to get rid of it.
Stop drinking Pepsi or other soda. Cut way back on beer and juice. Drink more water. Eat yougurt at least 3 times a week (the live cultures help maintain your Ph and proper bacterial load) and eat bananas 2 times a week.
If you have a sweating problem, use baby powder in your undies, and if you shave your bikini line, use baby powder deodorant on it (don't use clear, the alcohol will cause your shave spots to burn!).
Go to the gyno anyway. They have seen it all and will not judge you. They are experts that are there to help. Avoiding them is a disservice to you and will not make your problems any better.
As a female mammal, you will have certain body scents that naturally occur. Unless you have some type of infection, those scents are intoxicating to the males of the species. When males detect those normal scents, the will run after you, not away from you........

Most girls think they smell. In reality it's normal for their to be some odor. It is possible that you are douching too much. Most Gyno's actually advise not using them all together. Don't freak out. I do encourage you to go the the doctor if you feel so strongly about it. Don't be scared. The gynecologist will have seen everything under the sun. I can assure you that you will not be the first young woman to go to the him/her thinking the same thing you do. Finding out for sure will get rid of the anxiety

STOP DOUCHING!!!!!! you are destroying the natural cleansing cells of you vagina.
NOW
>Eat yogurt regularly (the yeast is wonderful for down there)
>Wash with a mild soap (Summers Eve makes a good cleanser for there)
>Eat healthy, if you are a junk food junkie, nothing will stop the bad smell, your body is releasing all that sh.it anyway it can.
>Don't wear non cotton lined panties. Change your underwear half way through the day if you find it gets moist or sweaty.
>wear pantyliners
>DO NOT DOUCHE anymore, it can strip the lining of your vagina and make you susceptible to STDs and infection.
AND don't ever be ashamed to go to a gynie about that. My cousin worked for one, guess how many times a week they had to pull rotten tampons out of women who forgot about them (sometimes for a week)...They have seen, smelt, and heard it all.

Stop douching. Try changing the soap/cleanser you're using. Some of them, like vitamin soaps and glycerin soaps, don't get rid of the odor at all. Try a deodorant soap and see if that helps.

Well, seeing a doctor would be the best idea since smells can mean there's something wrong...those are serious things, so you shouldn really visit a gyno.
