These are relatively simple equations. If you are unable to answer these perhaps you need to take a step back in your math class and develp your basic skills before moving on. This is not an insult to your intelligence, but math must be learned in steps. If you miss out on the basics you will struggle all through your education and never really understand what you are doing.

2x-5=-3x+10 Start by moving like terms together.
2x-5+3x=10
2x+3x=5+10 Do you see what was done.
5x=15 Add the like terms and solve for x.
x=3
You can see that your first equation has a solution, so b) is eliminated.
By replacing x with 0 you get this answer -5=10. This is not true so you can elimate c) also.
Trying 20 = x; you get 35=-50 also not true and eliminates d).
a) is eliminated because real numbers include 0 and 20.

So for 1) none of these can be considered the answer. Is there a e) none of the above. Perhaps you have typed something wrong. Check that out, but you should be able to figue this out using these steps.

The second equation is simple.
4x+10=2(2x +5)
4x+10=4x+10 So you can see that a) x=all real numbers is the answer.

If you can not change your class consider getting a tutor to get you up to speed.

1) 2x - 5 = -3x + 10

Add 3x to both sides, and 5 to both sides:
2x + 3x = 10 + 5
5x = 15
x = 3

I think you left out an answer, because the answer has to be x = 3 and none of your answers matches.

2) 4x + 10 = 2(2x + 5)
4x + 10 = 4x + 10
4x = 4x
x = x

This statement is true for all values of x.

So your answers are:
e) x = 3
a) x = all real numbers

1) 2x-5=-3x+10
2x+3x=10-5
5x=5
x=1
