It's according to what kind of person was sitting next to you. If it was a quiet good looking, great smellling, smart, funny guy with a dazzling smile, it would be unlucky for me to have crashed. It it was a loud, stinky, stupid, obnoxious dude, it would be lucky for me to just crash and get it over with! lol
On a serious note, I don't think that luck is something you would factor into this equation. To me luck is something to associate with a card game or betting on a race... I would rather think in terms of the lessons we learn and what we do with the information we glean from the situations we find ourselves in through out life.
Love your hat!

First and foremost, we , all, will be happy and feel lucky we have survived the crash. It will take a few days to get out of the shock and the near death encounter.
Then , slowly we will settle down to describe the event , bit by bit , sometimes adding a little exxageration , here and there, to dramatise the event.
Later , we will start describing the reason for being on that plane that we should not have been. Such experiences can actually make a person change his/her perspective of life.

Plane crashes are rare to begin with, so every plane crash does it up on the news because it just doen't happen everyday.
It depends on the type of plane, and the type of crash. But since you survived the crash you would be lucky that you survived, but a bit unlucky in having to go through a plance crash to begin with.
So actually in my thinking your both. Since you are lucky to have survived and unluucky enough to be invovled in one.

Well it's that whole glass half-empty/half-full thing...
Certainly you would be very lucky to have survived (against the odds). That's the way you should look at it. Of course a negative person would feel unlucky to have been involved in it at all. It's usually better to focus on the positive!

You are unlucky on both counts. If you live, you ask " why did I survive? Why did all those other people die? Why not me?" You are also unlucky to have had been in a plane crash, because it is such an infrequent occurence.

you are lucky, not because you have survived the crash but because after a plane crash, you would realize how close you came to dying and you would realize how good it is to be alive.
