I actually worry about the possible war with Iran, but everyting seems so screwd up, (just a comment). I have a 15 year old son.

We are stuck in a very bad situation. We are trying to fight a war against enemies that do not follow the same rules of war that we abide by. We either have to change how we fight the war and accept the bad press that will result or we have to find a way to extricate ourselves from the situation. This would be a gradual extraction not and immediate withdrawal.

the spin is ... the insurgents are increasing their violent strategy because of the mid term elections in USA. so you see that the increasing violence has nothing to do with centuries old tribal hostilities that were barely kept in check by Saddam's ruthlessness. it's all about affecting American politics.

i say get out of Iraq ASAP. we do no good and shouldn't be there in the first friggin place. we're invaders and occupiers doing a really crappy job remaking Iraq in our own image.

They want a civil war there. That means defense contractors can stay there for years. We also need to stay there to set up more bases for the upcoming war with Iran. Yes, it is going to happen.
