He is back on the show, however he is not shown regularly. Rick Springfield recently released a new album, titled "The Day after Yesterday" with a variety of cover songs. He was also on the "We were the 80's" limited tour with Eddie Money, Loverboy and Scandal. He has not been written into GH as a main character yet and most likely will not due to financial constraints of ABC.

I don't think he's back in a regular role. He just seems to pop in when they need to have some ratings spike. They brought in a character that is his son and he's a doctor, too. The Noah Drake character and the son character don't really get along, and Noah is an alcoholic now with liver disease or something. (I'm not really a GH fan, so I don't keep up well with the story line.)

I don't watch it, but I heard he was coming back. Genie Francis, "Laura", is supposed to come back to GH, too.
