I want the slang for the meaning of "4:20", My husbands son has came home from school and is writing it all over the place! Please help!

4:20 is slang for...well "time to get high". I've heard it comes from a police code...I've also heard it used to be the time kids would meet after school to smoke pot. How old is your son? Sometimes kids just hear something and want to be "cool" so they say it but they dont really know what it means. If he does, though, you might want to have a talk with him.

Many years ago the man that invented LSD took the first dose of it on April 20 at 4:20pm and since that day 4:20 is a signal that its time to get high. I would say its a high probablity hes is smoking weed.

4:20 is the time to smoke some pot; also 4/20 is the date to smoke pot. It's code to say "Let's go smoke pot." Not sure how it started -- maybe 4:20 was the usual time to get high for the people who started this phrase.

I was curious too. I've never heard of it, so I googled 4:20. Take a look at the site listed below. If he's a teenager, it may have something to do with marijuana.
