That entirely depends on your needs. For price and value, however, the 2.0 GHz, midrange MacBook provides for the best processor speed, hard drive storage and dvd burning capability for it's price, 1299. You have to be able to live with its 13.3 inch glossy screen, though. If you cannot, I would hold of until apple switches over to the core duo 2 processor and buy the new low end Mac Book Pro when that comes out (probably January at the expo).

If you need the CS2 suite - NONE of the Mac Book series (laptop & desktop) are supported yet - so you will have to stay with the G4/5 series. If you are using everything else, any of the new generations will suffice.
