You'll get a lot more for your money in Asia - the quality of the hotels is truly fabulous and amazingly good value. But for safari etc, you're really looking at South Africa. My brother did South Africa and Mauritius for his honeymoon and had an amazing time - although he said in retrospect that he wished he'd gone to the beach first to chill and recover from the wedding stress and then gone on safari when he'd recuperated!

Try this website:

http://www.travelbaglittlegems.co.uk/ for fantastic, special hotels all over the world.

or

http://www.tablethotels.com/ for the hippest hotels worldwide.

I know this is rather a vague answer, but a honeymoon is so personal, it's best to give you some good websites to browse so you can see your options.

Congratulations and have a wonderful time.

I married my 2nd husband in September 1999. It was the hottest day of the year and wonderful. Remember this - a honeymoon isn't a holiday! It should be a special time to build on your new life. I lived with my hubby for 3yrs before we married but the ceremony changed the way we felt about each other. It really does make a difference. Choose somewhere that brings you close, even if you already live together. Don't treat it as just another holiday. And don't let it be spoilt by loads of tourists! It should be the best you can buy and make as many memories as you can. (We only had 24hrs honeymoon cos we had to leave our little baby with his nana, but it was still lovely.) That way, you can look back in years to come and know it was special. Good luck!

Maybe better the safari, if you choose the luxury beach (what I would choose) ask in the travel agency about the weather in September, because, I think tropical storms use to happen then...
