It's like foamy bubbles. Is there something wrong with the water? or is this normal?

Wow. I knew he would build a nest with bubbles, but I guess I didn't expect it to look like that. So what do I do with the bubbles? just clean out the bowl? Or will it go away by it self? Or is it supposed to stay there? I thought I did pretty good research on the little guy before I got him. Guess not.

Its just a bubble nest. Males do that either when they want to mate or when they are happy.

It's normal most males build nest when they have bonded to a territory. In nature he'd stake out a territory, and build a nest in case a female wandered by. Just remember he's a betta not a person. Mating is rather rough, and the male may kill the female defending his nest afterwards.

As far the nest leave, or it remove it. It doesn't matter. Some males will keep rebuilding. Others just build them when they are in the mood.

the guy is building a bubble nest... When it's breeding time, the male builds a bubble nest where he puts the eggs in. He takes care of the brood.

And of course, you need a female to have eggs.
if you want to see 2 bettas doing it...

Don't worry about it. Male bettas do that to build a nest for the eggs that their mate will lay. Then the fertilize them later, But don't worry about it is something they do all the time.
