I see alot of questions on YA that seem like simple curiosity on matters of race or religion. But answers come pouring in from those who hate and the asker ignores general nonhateful answers or gives them the thumbs down in order to give the thumbs up or Best Answer to a hateful remark. What's up with that?

I liken it to people who cut in front of you in traffic. They don't care because they are protected by their cars. The Internet is the same but worse because you can't see their face. People think it give them full right to be as evil as can be.

Because people are ignorant, and once they see someone with an opinion different than their own, and realize it can't be changed, they resort to hateful remarks and slurs. It's the same in the religion and spirituality section, when Atheists post and say they're minds won't be changed, what's the FIRST thing religion nuts do? Condemn them to hell. Same thing. People try to come up with the worst insult they know to make others mad because they can't have their way.

Get real! What's the purpose of the internet other than anonymously venting frustration towards people and groups you HAVE to get along and put up with because otherwise you'll lose your life or your job?
However, if you don't have the need to hate and don't understand why others do, then, no, you're not missing anything whatsoever. In fact, you are one VERY lucky person and I hope you stay that way.

some people have a lot of anger in their lives and hating on someone gives them a way to release the pressure that builds up from the hatred they have for themselves. You wouldn't understand unless you've been there.

There are a lot of ignorant people who are full of hate. Doesn't matter what you say they're going to say something hateful about it. Just the way it is I'm afraid.

I believe there are a lot of evil people in this world. I also believe people post hatred comments on this site to get a reaction.

Hatred shouldn't be fun. It's draining. It hurts the hater and the victim. Those who huddle around their hate receive no warmth in their life.

I agree. There is a shocking amount of ignorance on here. I htink some is real and some is just to get reactions.

It's a power thing. People feel empowered when they put others down. It's human nature. I'm not proud of it, but I do find myself doing it sometimes too.
