common problem 1st i would replace the fuel filter.. if that doesnt help you probably need a fuel pump..But before you replace the pump take it to local repair center and have the pressure checked..It is cheap to have it checked.. I have had several of them do that...Sometimes the filter will help...

Have the exhaust checked for a restriction. Start the engine and go back to the exhaust, put your hand at the end of it. If you can feel a puffing, it's probably OK. If it blows constantly like a hair dryer, it's stopped up.
Since you changed the engine, the old one could have trashed the catalytic converter or backfiring could have broken some baffles loose in the muffler.
Or it could be as simple as a fuel filter.
Hope this helps.

Oxygen sensors can do that. If it reads too high it can make the car run way lean when it's warmed up, and that'll cause bogging when you step on it. The computer will only say the older ones are bad if they're all the way gone or the wire is shorted or broken. If they're the original sensors, they're way past replacing. Age gets them too, not just miles.

Change the plugs and you probably need a complete tune-up if it's been a while. Could be a choke problem too but you would need to have your mechanic take a look to see what's going on. All these newer vehicles have sensors up the gazoo and can be a real pain in the neck sometimes.

my car does that!!! my brother is a mechanic and he said that some cars do that there is nothing wrong with the cars function. I have just learned to adjust my driving to the little annoyance....cause all in all if the check engine light isnt on then that means i dont have anything to fix :) or anything that would make me have to buy a new car.....

Could be converter is plugged. Could be fuel filter. These things would need replacement. Filter is cheap. Converter is not. Also, how's your coolant level?

check the exaust pipe and see if you have any pressure. It can do this if the catalitic converter is stoped up.
