Swansea Town changed their name to Swansea City in 1970 - does anyone know who and when they played their first match against as Swansea City?

I suspect that in 1970 Swansea was given City status. Prior to that Swansea may have only been a town.

Cardiff Swansea and not forgetting Wrexham all play interior the english soccer league because of the fact they're athe 3 considerable cities/ cities in Wales and are too vast to play interior the Welsh leagues.

don't know mate but at least Kenny jackett wasn't manager...so they probably played decent football and didn't try to sell their leading goal scorer
