It depends on what you mean by hung over. If you mean that for 2 days you've had the full effects of a hang over (headache, upset stomach, etc.) then no, that's not normal. You may be severly dehydrated. However, I too am in my early 30's and have found that there are occassions after drinking excessively when I don't want to look at another alcoholic drink for a few days because of remnants of that gross stomach feeling. The best way to avoid this all together is to rehydrate and replenish nutrients. Try taking an advil along with a gatorade and lots of water right before bed. Also eat a substantial meal the next day. The key is to replenish fluids and nutrients. Hangovers are caused by dehydration.

I think its all about tolerance. I'm 38 now and just drink a few every 2 to 3 weeks and sometimes have more than a few and end up with these sometimes 3 or 4 day hangovers....But thats after I have consumed like 25 beers... I think the more often you drink the less hangovers you get. A couple years ago I use to drink every other day and would never get hangovers, NEVER!

sounds like dehydration has you down. That and how much food and what type of food was in your system has a lot to do with how your body reacts to alcohol and the digestion and absorbtion into your system... if these were on tap pints there is a possiblilty that some bacteria from the tap has you down and out. I would force clear liquids up to a gallon over a 24 hour time frame to rehydrate your body...

Possibly an interaction with any medications you are taking?
Hope ya feel better !

It isn't normal, but I one time had 13 shots of tequila in 3 hours (thank goodness I was at home with friends) and I was drunk for 3 days. Wasn't very fun, and I had to call in sick to work for those 3 days, and I still wasn't feeling too hot on the 4th day. Lets just say that I learned my lesson, and now, even the smell of tequila makes me gag. (You should usually only be drunk for a few hours and a hang over doesn't usually last for that long so be careful next time) =)

Yes, the older we get the more painful our fun becomes! I used to drink, dance and party until 2 am, go to bed, then up at 6 am to go to work and the partying started again after work, every day. And the weekends! Well, we won't even talk about those.

Listen to your body - it's talking to you and telling you it just can't hang like it used to! Those days are over for me. Even staying out late with friends with NO drinking involved, and I feel hung over the next day - just from lack of sleep!

Make sure you are eating balanced meals, take extra vitamins, and get extra sleep. (You may have to take more Advil, too!) This will help you feel better.

If this does not get larger by means of the following day try to see a physician. If you cannot recall some thing thats lovely unhealthy. P.S not ever drink that a lot once more until anyone's died on your loved ones (ingesting out of grief) or anyone's getting married (ingesting for the sake of it).

Were the pints from a bottle or a draft? Draft beer can result in symtoms resembling a hangover if the place doesnt properly clean.

I have never had a hangover for 2 days, but if you wanna kick it (the hangover), drink a beer or drink a cup of liquor. this helps me every time!
