Are you talking about the Liberator, Flying Fortress, etc as the "another name"?

Bell made Huey's.... the B-29 and such were made by Boeing.

It was Boeing that made the B-29 just for information, however many companies did subcontract, one being Bell. Refer to this information on the history of the aircraft:

B-29 strato-fortress is the title of all these type bombers regardless of manufacturer. As far as I know Bell never designed it's own bomber it did however build other peoples bombers. Thus all B-29's are known as Boeing B-29 strato-fortress.

The B-29 was a Boeing design. Bell (Atlanta) and Martin (Omaha) also built them as part of the Boeing team though I've never heard of them referred to as "Bell Bombers".

Are you thinking about "The Flying Fortress"? I think those were the B-17s, but I'm not sure. However, Bell makes helicopters.
