Lets see...I lived at home until I was out of college so I could go to college full time and work part time the entire time I went. Have no idea how I managed-but extra money and having no college debt is outstanding!! Anyways, landed my first professional job about 8 months out of college(still lived at home) saved big time! Moved out into my first apartment - on my own (age 25) and also have perfect credit. No one is helping pay my bills I put half down on some major appliances that are extra nice to finally have and are slowly paying the off. Let me tell you independence and knowing I can make it on my own is great! Way better than trying it too soon and having to hang my head if/when I'd have to move back home. Need more specifics let me know.
Good luck!

I moved out when I was 16 had a baby and married by 18 and bought my first home at 18. I'm telling you the only part of that was a mistake was the buying of that house. I was only 18, didn't take it seriously, my husband was layed of a few times and 3 yrs. later we lost that house due to foreclosure. Now that we are older I am 26 he is 27 we know what we're doing and how important credit is, we have had to go back and fix everything on our credit and just now able to buy a brand new car again. We will go for the house in another 1 or 2, we still are waiting for the credit score to get better. I say wait, don't buy young. Buy when your are older and ready for such a responsibility.

Lived with the boyfriend for a year then on my own for almost 6 months. Back at the folks house, but soon will be at my own apartment again. I paid all my bills by myself with my apartment, but when I was with the boyfriend we went about 60/40. With me paying 40 of all the bills. All this while attending college and a full time job.

I was 21 yrs old, I grew up in an Irish household, an absolute asylum ! I moved in with my g/f, got a good job (after quite a few really bad ones), bought a house THEN got married to her, then finished college p/t. If school is what you want, stay home and save. If you want out (you know when that is) then Bail out Brother, going out on your own is scarey at first, then after a month its like "Sh-t man, I couda did this years ago", it's kinda fun. My wife moved out of her house at 17, (her parents divorced, or more or less just bailed out on her)and got her own apt (thats were I came in), finished H.S at night, had crummy jobs, went to College before buying a house with me, getting married (a year later) and now (16 yrs later), we have a 4 yr old son, we live in NY. She has a good job now as well, we both work for major utility's she's "phone", I'm "electric", no shift work for either of us, m-f 9-5, weekends and holidays off thank God, it was'nt always that way.

I moved out when I was 18 to join the military. When I got out I was 22 and I paid rent for an apartment until now. I'm 26 and I'm finally buying a house.

When you have enough money... and got a good job that you will have for a while. Just move out before your late 20's. Umm... It depends on if you can handle going to school part time. If you can handle that work and your soical life. Then good... But if school is just to much try doing it online.... Or maybe take night classes or something.

Off and on they kicked me out. But at 21 I got married and moved out for good. I was in college and had a son. It was tough. Sometimes I was working 3 jobs. But now I am making lots of money and its great.

24. I was the last one out of the house and Mom didn't push me at all -- she wasn't looking forward to the "empty nest." I paid rent there until I moved in with my then girlfriend.
