When gas goes through your stomach and down the rest of your body. No there isn't a way of stopping it and everyone farts at least 15 times a day (supposedly).

Eating causes it. The food traps gas as it moves through the colon and reacts with the digestive juices. The gas can go either way. Eggs, Broccoli, Brussell sprouts, Cabbage, Beans are a few hazardous materials.

Farts come from gasses that are swallowed or created by the natural digestion of your food. The only way to avoid it is to die. Even then your body will give off some very offensive gases, but after about a week or two, no one will notice.

Above are some good insights. If I remember correct, it is vegetables that cause the gas. The other is eating too fast, gulping down ones food. This why we are told to chew our food, like 100 times before we swallow. This all I can say without going into a lengthy speech.

You know if you hold in your farts they travel up your spine into your brain causing shitty ideas right? Lol.. Sorry.. Bad joke!

But its really just gas. Why try to stop it. If you have a lot try talking to your doctor about your diet. Chances are what you are eating is causing the excess gas.

Foods that assimilate or digest in your body as sugar cause it, along with swallowing some air. There are some over the counter remedies available in the stomach/indigestion section of your favorite store.
Cut down on sugary foods, beans, vegetables.

It is just the body releasing excess gases built up from the digestion process.
You can never stop it entireley. Everyone does it no matter how much they deny it. It is a natural body function & will cause huge problems to your digestive tract if you try to stop it happening.

The gas produced by the digestion of food can be altered by altering the food you eat...IE.. if broccoli makes you gassy don't eat it...Legumes usually produce gas in everyone, so stay clear of those...
You can try anti gas products like beano... but personally, i have found that the best solution to reducing gas, is to change your diet.

It's usually due to what you eat and how you eat it. If you eat food that produce gas, like beans or potatoes, the bacteria in you intestine will produce gas (methane, sulfur compounds) as a by product of their degradation. Besides, if you inhale a lot of air (by smoking, chewing gum, drinking carbonated drinks), you will have to evacuate it.

You'd probably explode if you didn't do it, or it may have to find another way out, maybe in the form of a burp... I wouldn't like that at all, so just parp away, it's for the best...
