4.7, 4x4 when i tuen the ignition 3 time and leave it turned on , it reads a code 0700. What does that code mean? My engine light is on also.

Don't know exactly which code this is but 700 range is a trans code. Take to a professional.

I know this has to do with the trans does anyone know exactly what causes this code 0700 The automatic transmission computer or Aisin computer has a problem ?

I had this code once and it refers to the overdrive unit on your tranny. Take it to the dealer so they can further diagnose it. I tied a tranny shop but there was nothing they could do with it. :VHOT:

Thanks I knew it had to do with tranny I hardly use the OD because it keep downshifting and cherping the tires as it does this. I got under and cleaned up the connecters a little they had dirt (mud) buildup from off roading a short time after that the light went out has'nt come back on since. I sill think there is a problem though it really struggles when in OD so I'm not going to use it anymore till I find out for sure. Thanks for the info guys

The code means you need to shell out $70 for an OBDII scanner and learn to use it. That code means the transmission electronic control is malfunctioning. You might not notice because transmissions default back to mechanical control when the electronics fail, and it usually works pretty well.
It might not be serious. It's usually just a bad sensor somewhere.

Go to autozone. They'll check the code for free and let you know what the problem is.

IT MEANS TAKE ME TO A MECHANIC!!! DUH!!! OR YOU COULD START PAYING FOR YOUR OWN AUTOTECH TRAINING BY BUYING AND SWAPING PARTS TILL YOU FINALLY GUESS THE RIGHT PART...
