... in addition to this I also need my old one taken out - which is electric oven but gas hob. Would prefer fully electric oven & hob (they are safer, right?)?
Serious answers only please! x

Bosch are a very reliable make but there are many others equally reliable.Branches of John Lewis are very competitive on price and flexibility re installation etc; As long as your electricity supply is adequate for the power that will be drawn by a full electric installation you will be o/k .Check your Consumer unit for the rating of your connection and check the rating plate of your chosen unit. You need a 32 Amp Double pole switch for a7.5 k/w model or a 42 Amp for anything rated higher.Good Luck

You can always go for Bosch and Miele closing your eyes as they are quality makers. But I would suggest you to first choose what type of oven you need and how much will you uses. Gas / Electric ovens are always the topic for discussion. In my view Gas ovens are better than electric but have little fewer features.

Why not try your local DIY shop. Many of them now sell ovens and hobs, and nearly all of them will dispose of your old ones. Myself I prefer gas, as I believe it is a more controllable heat, especially for cooking. I don't think there is any plus on the safety factor one way or another. Hope this helps.

I think any of the big retail chains would be your best bet...Sears, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.
Actually, I prefer the electric self-cleaning oven, with gas burners on top.
