Edulgence accesed my credit card for 1032 dollars and told me I would have the tv in 7 to 10 days. I waited two weeks and then called the store in brooklyn ny. It was not in stock and they tried to sell me refurbished. I cancelled order. They are currently going through reorganization but state that all ordered items will be delivered. This is what it says on the phone when you call them, then you are left on hold, forever. The website is not there anymore but queriing edulgence brings up the coporate office, one and same as store I suspect.

If you paid with credit card, you can always dispute it. Contact the credit card people.

I typed in 'edulgence' and 'scam' in google and got some hits.

That is my basic check I start with when I am looking at a company to see how legit they are.

Personally, what I would do is call your credit card company to dispute the charge. They will ask you several questions (what the purchase was for, if you have received any refund at all from the merchant, etc.), explain to them the situation as described above, and they will initiate a chargeback investigation (and likely contact the company).

I have used chargeback dispute resolution approximately 5-10 times so far in the past 5 years from several different credit card companies, and have never had an unsuccessful chargeback. They are usually very good about working with you. Additionally, going ahead and getting the credit card company working on this situation ASAP is a good thing, since it takes several weeks to be final.

Even if you end up getting your TV or your refund, you are still able to cancel the chargeback request, and the credit card company will ask you at the time of dispute initiation to do so if this occurs. Good luck to you!

contact the betterbusinessbureau at: bbb.org

Since you are in NY contact some of the television reports that help customers get their merchandise:

Help Me Howard is one guy:

There are one or two others that also help. Watch the news, you will see them and contact them about your problem.
