Did you mean "you can only use numbers 0-8"? Because you need zero, and there are nine different letters in this puzzle.

Suppositions: O = 1 (that's an oh, not a zero), N = 0, G = L + 1 (because G can't be 0), L + P = 10, E + P = A +9, A > R.
