I'm not talking about, the "magic" you see in harry potter, or something from a cartoon, i want to know if anyone believes that there is something beyond what we see every day.

This is completely on belief. Do you believe in karma? Fate? I don't, but people would argue that it really does exist.
Same goes for magic. You could always try some wiccan spells and see what happens. There are various sites and books on the topic.

I wouldn't hold you're breath though.

Some scientists now believe we may be approaching the end of pure scientific discovery and the next phase may be what we now think of as magic. A scientific team in America [sorry cannot remember which university] have succeeded in making a cloaking device which makes an object completely invisible to radar. This is too complicated for me to explain but it has been proven to work. In one sense this is a sort of magic or science fiction. The Klingons in Star Trek, the original 1960s series, had a cloaking device so that their space ships could not be seen until they switched off the device.

Attempts have already been made to transport matter from point A to point B by what is best described as teleportation. Again, I do not know how the teleportation device works and think that only a minute amount of matter, a micro-thing, has actually been transmitted over a very short distance of only fractions of a mili-thing.

Some scientists do believe there is something beyond normal science, maybe even that the rules themselves can in some way be altered to allow the technological advances that we may need in the future.

Going deep space is hopeless at present speeds. Someone has got to find a way of going warp factor 8 or whatever. Look at it like this, Alpha Centuri is about 100 light years away. If we travelled at light speed it would take 100 years to get there. None of the original crew would survive such a journey, so only their born in space offspring would arrive. The offspring would know nothing of the science which brought them so far - they would step out onto the new planet as Adam and Eve. Rewind etc.

Of course there is.Magic is in the air in the water in the fire. There is magic in the smile of a child. And this magic makes your life better. And you have to believe to see it.People now are to busy and too distant to see and they have no time for magic and when someone hear the word "magic" it means nothing to him.But it's not fullish to believe in magic.Magic is beautiful and strong. For example: When a baby is born his mother loves it from the minute she takes it in her hands. How can you love so much someone you have never met. It's magic!Or another example - the butterfly. How can something be so beautiful. It's created by the nature and the nature is magic. You just have to want to see it and you will.
P.P. - Sorry if I've made some mistakes, I'm still learning English in the high school.

No I don't know if 'magic' really exists, and neither does anyone else!
I am atheist, which simply means that I don't believe in God!
However I am willing to accept that there may be 'something' beyond that which we see every day!!
Magic? I don't know about that, I'll stick to 'something'
For example I believe that a person can (and has) willed themselves to die, without any illness, they just want to die, and die they do!!
Silly I know but its like me trying to explain that there cannot possibly be a God!
If someone really belives , then I cant ever persuade them, and they cant ever persuade me!

You first have to define "magic", if you take some of our technology back to the middle ages you could have been accused of witch craft. I suppose "magic" could be explained as any technology that we do not understand how or why it works and also possibly fear.

if you believe in magic, then you should know that there is no such thing as black magic or white magic, there is only magic (neither good or evil) it is the person who uses magic that makes it
good/evil

I am a sceptic , but when i was a boy my Friends and i got into a defunct theatre at chalk farm London , when we were wandering around all of us saw a nun on a opposite corridor after we had got over the scare we looked around to the corridor it was all apart of the same derelict building . We all left that building at a rate of speed just under sound . many years later i found out it had been used as a hospital by nuns , and had been damaged by bombs , and a nun had been killed

a spell check? sorry ~~~~ I make typos too .

miracles occur everyday , but we do not always recognise them as such !

If you wish for something ,with all your heart and mind ,
it will come about , and I supose this is magic!

it may not be exactly how you perceive it , but then miracle's do not come from us .

Next time you see a beautiful view , remember you are looking directly , with the magic of sight .

It is magical to me ,when i am broke,
to find money deep in my purse , when i thought i had none .

It is magic , when you find someone who you love , actualy
loves you as well .

this is not Mary Poppins magic , but every day magic

Sure, all religion is based the idea that there is more to life than what we see, touch, and hear. It comes down to a matter of belief. I choose not to believe that someone can walk on water or come back from the dead.
