How can i find the details of a friends death without paying for friend search?

I have a speech due and I just wanted to get a few details of how he died exactly...the family did not inform everybody..I know it was a car accident!

If you have a local paper, go to their website. And look under obituaries.

Depending on how long ago it was you can try the paper's website, if not see if your library has the paper on microfiche.
