Usually people who are related to each other come on the show & discuss on topics like their illicit relations. the ladies beat each other or to their man, and ordience enjoy these fights. even some ladies from ordience show there breasts and comment on the issues and related people. all this is recorded. can police take action against any of those persons who is beating another person on the basis of this recorded evidence? if not why? also, how a cultured country allow such nuisance?

That small TV show does not represent America. The people in the program usually sign an agreement with the TV station of their voluntary participation (because it is not an ordinary show. There are few people who do this thing to demonstrate their right of expression ( if you can call it that) . But majority of Americans do not enjoy such type of shows.
It is just like in "Boxing". Why do we - supposedly - civilised countries allow two men beat each other sometimes, almost to death- for our own entertainment? Think about it. We do not differ from the people of Rome during the olden times, who allow Christians to be eaten by lions as a form of entertainment. They are exercising their right to expression so we will just have to tolerate their idiosyncrasies. After all, this is a predominantly democratic world.

Please don't think that we are all like that. Hitting people is illegal, and the people on the show are fighting just to amuse the audience. The Jerry Springer show is not entertainment for most Americans, but there is a small minority of people that like to watch violence. The people that watch that show also like to watch wrestling, etc. It is definately not a part of mainstream America.

Not everyone likes this kind of "entertainment" nor does everyone approve of it. some people like to watch that stuff and thats what make us all different. Its make believe anyway so dont get too upset about it. Most Americans are not like that. Dont believe everything you watch on tv.

i watched not and then til jeraldo got hit with a chair...that was enough! I believe these people sign waivers though.
