Hershey Park and the plant are about an hour or two outside of Philly.

I wouldn't bother going to the Hard Rock either...it's a chain and has nothing to do with Philly.

Someone said Tony Luke's. They're the best sandwiches in Philly, bar-none. Try the cheesesteak and the roast pork sandwich (with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe).

You should also see the art museum too. It's free to go in on Sundays, but the outside is the better part of it IMO. You could also hit all of the historical things as well, but without a specific site in mind, you'll be looking at historical stuff for months.

South Street is ok, but nothing more. It's dirty, over-crowded and meant for a younger crowd I feel. I mean, definitely go and give it a shot (you may like it...I don't know) and you should at least say you've been there and done that, but don't put it up on top of your priority list.

The Philadelphia Zoo is fairly big, but it's the oldest in the country. They also have a balloon that goes up 100 feet or something like that and has a great view of Boathouse Row and the City Skyline.

Hershey Park is about 2 hours drive. I think I would enjoy here more! My friends usually go to Pennsylvania for the outlet stores. Better check it for yourself. There are alot as seen in the website, please check ! I am not sure which outlet stores they enjoyed. I think I would choose the GAP outlet since I enjoyed the GAP stores in Hongkong. I hope this is the same GAP.

I guess you would like a serious answer (I read the answers below and admit I found "Leaving Philly" funny) but here goes, i have been there a few times: visit the art museum (where Stallone in "Rocky" climbs the steps), go to the Hard Rock Cafe (real interesting memorabilia), see the Liberty Bell, there are LOTS of good restaurants downtown, they have a small zoo, you could see Grace Kelly's house and more.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art (free on Sundays)
The Franklin Institute - HUGE science center
The National Constitution Center
The Liberty Bell
Independence National Park - Independence Hall etc.
The Atwater Kent Museum - History of Philadelphia
The Mütter Museum - One of a kind medical museum
The Philadelphia Zoo - America's first zoo
The University of Pennsylvania Museum - Archeology and anthropology

Go to Philadelphia Museum of Art - the Rocky statue is to the right of the stairs. Go to Independence Hall area, take the tour, see the Liberty Bell, and go to the Constitution Center(9-11 artwork on display there right now). Go eat at Tony Luke's, and then go see a Flyers game.

I was just there about a month ago.

The best sight in Philly is the sign that says, "You Are Now Leaving Philadelphia". You're much better off in Baltimore, anyway.

South Street on a weekend night (Friday or Saturday), especially from about 10th Street down to the Delaware River.

What about the Hershey Candy factory? I think it is outside Philly, but it can't be too much further.
