I would check for virus and spyware.

Start going online with another browser if you are using internet explorer right now like firefox(1) . Then scan your computers with spybot(2) .If your computer still freezes after steps 1 and 2 you would need to get your computer checked by a hijackthis expert (3)

Mine seems to do this also, freeze up and I have to reboot,,, Thou seems mostly when Iam in games at Yahoo or Pogo,,,Have you tried to sign in under Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, this could possibly help ? except when I go thru Firefox , and go to games thru here it always requires me to sign in at Pogo,, if I go thru Internet explorer , Iam already signed in,,, it doesnt seem to freeze up at firefox thou.. Good luck !!!
