Check out www.abebooks.com you may be able to find other copies of the book and be able to compare prices. you may get an idea of what it's worth that way. You may even decide to sell it through them if you want to.

I list books on Amazon and that helps me a lot when it comes to figuring out worth. Use the ISBN if you can find it - if not, make sure you have the title exactly.

You might also check a few other websites for info on other copies out there -

If you do put it on eBay, get it in the best category so it will be seen. One way I do this is to check out other auctions with similar products that have bids and use the way it was listed. In your case, I would think people that collect automobile related items would be interested, so you may even cross list.

It's true, some of the older books, especially if not in good shape, aren't worth tons, but it never hurts to check. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to list a children's book I had purchased for 59 cents. It was going for over $200! I ended up selling it at auction on eBay for $167.

Good luck!

Well because of the writing in it it's value will be a lot less if it was in pristine condition. However, if you go to or sign onto websites of rare booksellers, they may be able to help you. Or you can go to the Sothbey's or Christie's auction house website and ask them.

Looks up the ISBN number and check abe books. It's probably not work a whole lot due to the damage and defacement.
