Hi there, my personal favourite is Marrakech, there's so much to see!!! The famous square is a must - Jamaa El-Fna, day or night its so different. The food served in the square is amazing! You can get a horse and cart ride around Marrakech, very cheap and lasted about 1 hour! Get it from the square. Theres quite a few other tourist spots around Marrakech but I cant remember the names, worth asking when you get there.

There is a place called "Ourika" just outside Marrakech (not far at all), heading into the mountains (we had a car, so not sure how you would get there, buses etc...???). Its beautifull!!! Theres a river, some cafes and a waterfall (have to climb to) but all worth it. A place I could've sat for days!
Further up this way is Oukaimeden, the ski resort. Havent been yet but itend to on next visit. Have been told its amazing.

Agadir is nice, can be cooler there in the evening/night. Nice restaurants in front of the beach. Didn't visit any places there as didnt stay long.

Rabat is nice, visited the "tomb" of where the king is buried (i think thats right?), also Tangier is nice. Didnt stay too long in Rabat or Tangier so cant add much more but I definitely intend returning there!

If you are only going for 10-12 days plan where you want to go. From Agadir to Marrakech on a coach takes 4 hours (to give you an idea).
How are you intending on getting around whilst you're there? There are plenty of good hotels at good prices.

Many people say Morocco is unsafe (especially for a woman travelling alone) but the people are nice and helpfull, its an amazing place. Just be aware, thats all, pretty obvious I think! I have been many times with family but wouldnt hesitate to go alone.

I'm sure I could find out more information if needed, let me know if you do.

Guaranteed that you will love it! Good luck and enjoy!
Janie

In addition to what you've read about places in Morocco, please keep in mind that things may be a little different for you as a woman travelling alone. Considering that, I would stick to the more heavily touristed places - Tangier, Fez & Marakesh. We really enjoyed Meknes but that may be a little more difficult for you. Agadir and/or Essouria are also very nice beach towns. Do not miss Fez El Bali, the old part of the city. It is amazing and really gives you a sense of how people lived long ago.
