God, I feel old but my fave is "A Little Romance"-filmed in 1979 and staring Diane Lane *as a 12 year old* It takes place in France and Italy and is about two teenagers who fall in love and are forced to end it when the girl moves back home to America. But before that happens, the kids *with help from Laurence Olivier* run away to Venice, Italy because they believe *I remember this like it was yesterday* that if they kiss in a gondola going under the Bridge of Sighs at sunset when the bells from the Campangielle toll, they'll love each other forever* SIGH!!!!
I still cry at the end when they say goodbye and to this day, I want to go to Venice and do the whole Bridge routine ^__^

I love 'never been kissed' but is that a romantic movie or a cheesy American teen film - either way I love Drew Barrymore and its wicked!!
My ultimate fav romance though is pride and prejudice - the original BBC adaptation with Colin Firth, the film version was a bit of a let down although very well acted.

"Letter from an Unknown Woman" - an old old black & white film with Louis Jourdan and Olivia de Havilland.
A woman who gives her life for a man. So romantic and yet so sad!! - I won't tell you the rest - I have no idea if it's possible to even find that film. But if not, you'll have to guess.

Oh, the best movie like that is definitely "The Shop Around the Corner." The original, with Jimmy Stewart (because the remakes were kind of lame.)

I'd have to say "Somewhere in Time" with Christopher Reeve. It was great & tooo romantic! I made my boyfriend take me & he sulked the entire movie, but I didn't care!! I got to see the movie!
