a trip to a chocolate factory with a huge supply of chocolate. (joking)!!!!

I find that a nice romantic evening at home. Lots of candles and rose petals everywhere. Means a lot if you make an effort to cook a romantic meal for her yourself. especially if you do a dessert like a cake with writing in icing that you love her.

Followed by her favourite chic flick (even if you hate it) and finally a massage (sensual one). After that keep the mood romantic but let her lead. Don't expect sex after all that it puts a huge downer on things if you sulk because you did all the stuff and did not get anything in return.

You may be surprised anyway!!!

My husband did this for me and its one of the most memorable moments I can remember.

Anyone can take their wife out for a meal. If you make the extra special effort she will appreciate it. If she does not then I am sorry for you because any man that will devote an entire evening to his wife on her birthday is special.

After all that see if you can organise a surprise party the day after. She will not expect that added bonus.

Hope everything goes well for you.

Find a local good quality spa hotel that books rmoanitc stop overs - free champagne - - enjoy the spa facilities and then girly make ups for her while you have a beer. Have a great evening meal and whatever happens thereafter is between 2 consenting adults.
We did it at a place called the pulford grosvenor in chester. Twas great!

Think about what she would consider yummy. If she is the type to like for you to get her a nice hotel room and have dinner on the balcony under the stars. You can fill the room with her favorite type of flower. Or would she be the type that would like for you to set up a dinner along the beach, candlelight. It all depends on what she likes.

at least tell us whereabouts you're located!!

you can make it a birthday extravanganza like i had... just pick all her favourite things across her high end and lazing choices. so i had a lunchtime picnic by the lake (easing me into day -oh after hair appt.) followed by going home for afternoon snoozing then going to swish dinner and theatre. next day was riverboat along thames, window shopping in super expensive shops, then onto high tea at the Ritz, follwed by fab (but not that expensive) dinner... then next day satisfied the bargain hunter in me and it was camden and portebello markets. then a bbq with friends another day, and a big family do another night, plus other bits and pieces - guess what I'm saying is give her a b'day week with something planned for everyday - u dont have to fill everyday - co-ordinate with her mates.

but theatre/dinner/hotel always winning combo!

I would interpret 'yummy' as a fabulous hotel - there is a website 'Mr and Mrs Smith' which specialises in boutique hotels in both the UK and Europe. I am sure you will find something appropriate with their help - as a top tip though try Venice - it is amazing, romantic and totally unforgettable!

Take her to 'The Witchery' in Edinburgh. It's certainly 'yummy'. Danni Minogue called it 'A Lust Den'. You better book now though it's so gorgeously popular that it gets reserved months in advance. Sumptuous rooms, silk/ satin sheets, roaring fires. You won't get out of bed making mad passionate love to your wife!

take her to a chocolate spa!!!! LOL! now that is yummy! i am not too sure if there is a place in the UK (you'd have to check that) but if you're up for it try Valencia or Paris! they have loads of places there that will just pamper you in chocolate. They have massage treatments where they use chocolate rather than oils and you can lie in a pool of chocolate together ... how sexy, classy and different .. i'm sure your wife will love it!

Book her a trip somewhere then a weekend away. Or during the week if she is 30 then. You have to do something different.
