Do Detroit's sports teams have success? With the notable exception of the Lions, yes. Is Detroit a great sports city? No. Absolutely nothing going on college wise.

I think it used to be, then Detroit faded out for awhile with losing streaks from most teams from hockey to football & everything in between. The good news is that they seem to be on the upswing again & making a come-back.
