It goes like this: Spidey is more agile than Wolvie, so he has the edge unless Wolverine did a sneak attack on Spider-Man.

And I can't see him doing that. Logan's not that dishonorable and he KNOWS Spider-Man is a hero, he's not going to 'mistake him for a bad guy and attack'. So unless Wolverine is mind-controlled by someone, he won't attack. (Mind control is usually considered to cause a loss of speed because the victim is fighting against the control, or the controller does not really know how to use the victim's powers effectively.)

So unless Wolverine is already badly injured and goes into a berserker rage where he can't distinguish friend from foe, he won't attack Spider-Man, unless it's something REAL hokey, like he's 'convinced that Spider-man is wrong, this time'.

Anyhow. Spider-Man fires his webs at Wolverine's face. Wolverine catches then on his claws. The webs part, continue on to hit Wolverine's face, and he is temporarily blinded. (You thought the claws would STOP the webs...? No, of course not! They're a fluid when they first come out, and only solidify when they are stretched! Why did you THINK they were SO STICKY..?)

While Wolverine is slicing his face off, trying to get rid of the webbing, Spidey webs his arms and legs together, and Wolverine can't move. If he can't reach the webs with his claws, he can't cut them with his claws.

Even if you don't think this would work, Spider-Man is more mobile than Wolverine and that is a huge advantage. Wolverine would have only one shot, and maybe not even that, with the Spider-Sense. If Spidey can web him even once, he can almost certainly immobilize him, and glue Wolvie to the ground where he would be helpess.

I have to disagree with budda m. As soon as Wolverine saw Spidey unzipping to shoot a big load in his mouth, he'd SNIKT! it off. And Marvel wouldn't do that, anyway. What did you think this was, hentai...?

Spiderman pushed Wolverine out the window in one of the New Avengers books which was very funny. By the time Wolverine had got back up the tower he just looked fed up.

As to who would win in a real fight between them , well Logan is fairly indestructable so it would be very difficult to win against him completely. Logan is the better warrior and certainly more ruthless, but Peter has an edge of speed agility and strength. Peter's more intelligant too, the problem is when Wolverine really gets going he keeps going. So Spidey would win the battle but probably lose the war. He'd get in most of the big hits but they wouldn't stop Wolverine and Wolverine has shown he is willing to kill if he must. So unless they decide not to continue fighting in a real battle Spiderman ends up dead eventually.

Of course they've never exactly got on but I doubt they would try to kill each other without some sort of mind control or something, so one of them would beat whoever was manipulating them thus ending the fight.

Why whould they be fighting in the first place?
Any fight between two superheros is silly since they are both generally on the same side, even if they don't agree on how to get things done.
I think if they did try to fight either of them could win or lose, it all depends on who stikes first and how they manuver themselves.
But I don't think there is much Spiderman can do about those claws Wolverine has, since they will just cut right through webbing.

They actually fought just last year. Spidey won, hands down. He left Wolverine webbed up in an alley, more or less helpless.

To be fair, the fight could go either way. But Spidey is faster and stronger than Wolverine by a long shot. Spidey has superhuman agility and strength. He can lift 10 tons. Wolverine has normal strength levels for a human in near perfect physical shape, but he's not lifting one ton, let alone ten of them. Spidey could knock him around like a ragdoll, or just throw things at him. Wolverine has heightened senses, but Spidey can sense danger coming before it even gets to him. Both of them are seasoned hand-to-hand fighters.

Spidey has the edge, and it's a big one. I'd give him the fight 8 times out of ten, but those two he lost would be pretty nasty.

Spiderman, He's a lot quicker than Wolverine, so wolverine would not be able to touch him to begin with. Secondly, once Spiderman webs up Wolverine's arms, he won't be able to move. Wolverine is not superstrong and Spiderman's web is stronger than steel. So hands down Spiderman would win.

Wolverine Bub, he'd kick ***.

I think spiderman is very agile but the sheer brute force of wolverine would pulverise spiderman to a pulp.
I think spiderman, to start with, would dart about a lot to try any wear wolverine out, but wolverine will be wise to this and only play along for a while then he will just have him wi his claws and that would be it.

Dont get me wrong, as a child i adored spiderman but Wolverine would be the man of the match in this instance!

Both men are evenly matched except in ferocity, this is the only real advantage Logan has. Spiderman is agile strong quick thinking,Spidersense will go a long way to avoid Wolverine although Wolverine will be unable to avoid being webbed.

BRUCE LEE KICKS CHUCK NORRIS BUTT

But take nothing away from the old guy...Sidekicks was a cracking film.

Anyways i agree with a person above statin unless spidey could manage to web him up and put him in front of a train or get something to blow the hell out of wolverine, whereas hand to hand id go for wolverine, tho its hard to say, spiderman would be alot faster, i believe that for once strength would play a big part as wolv cant get seriously injured as he heals himself, and i wouldnt like to get onto the end of one of his claws

This fight did really occur back in the mid eighties in Web of Spiderman #3 or 4?? Not for certain as to which annual this was, but it occured in Berlin, Peter Parker was on the trail of the true Identity of the Hob-Goblin, Wolfverine was there on a seperate mission. Peter Parker was with reporter Ned Leeds, (Who was later revealed to be the Hob-Goblin. But at this time Peter did not know) Logan discovered that Peter Parker was in the hotel and asked him to step out for a meet, (Logan reconized Spiderman's scent from Peter Parker and knew his secret identity) Upon Peter's return he discovered that Ned was killed. Enraged Peter sought out Logan and a battle between them occured in a cemetery in Berlin. The battle was a draw, but Wolverine could not lay hands on the enraged Spiderman.

Chuck Norris, that dude's pretty hardcore.
Did anyone actually enjoy the 'Walker: Texas ranger' TV series?
I'm being serious...
In response to the question at hand, I believe it would be a fairly
equal match.
Wolverine is not as fast or agile as spidey but he can take a lot
more damage and is constantly healing at a rapid rate.
Also, if spidey doesn't manage to dodge wolverine's claws in
time he's gonna get all messed up.
