If you chose your parents, then you would become responsible for a lot more of your life than if you did not.
If you didn't, then you can view most of the universe and where you came from as something that isn't your fault, which is liberating.
The real question is where you draw the line between your choice and your circumstance.
If you're a mystic, then we're beamed here from somewhere where we know a lot more than here, and events in our life will connect via some context to our other lives. If you are a hard science type of person, then everything is about this one life.
I don't think either give us more meaning, they both have plenty of meaning.

If I did I really don't remember doing it, but I could not have made a better choice, if I had chosen them.

for those nay sayers....maybe you were given the parents you have to learn a greater lesson then how to feel ungrateful...trials form us and help us become the people we want to be or not to be.....the glass is 1/2 full not 1/2 empty....things could be worse
