I read a few books to help me chose paint swatches and I think that it does work in that it helps you to create an environment that you love, you can enjoy and relax, and it also reflects your taste.

I wasn't interested in the blessings in some of the books, but it was very helpful when it came to decorating my place and now my home is my oassis and my boyfriend and friends love visiting, because it's so nice and relaxing.

Plus the push to rid yourself of clutter is just a good idea. I've made 5 trips to Goodwill and it's amazing how much bigger my place is now that I've gotten rid of stuff that I don't like, use, or need.

I wouldn't suggest going directly to Fung Shui for the lottery numbers if you're home is being foreclosed, but it is an interesting view point.

If the mind accepts it and believes it, then the rest will manifest.

It's an ancient philosophy, and opinionated GUIDE for life. It's not LAW, persay, but does offer some unique situations in designing what might be included in the balance of the rest of ones life.

Example: If I hang 3 Asian coins at an entry point to my house, It has been stated that "GOOD" fortune might visit me. What isn't stated however, is that I probably shouldn't expect that to be manifest in finding a sack of money on my doorstep anytime soon,,,and GOOD fortune is relative in how we each define it. I might even have to actually WORK at creating the fortunes, on some levels.

Feng Shui, for me, is a part of life that offers a variation on other suggestions and guides. Certainly I've never known any negative experiences from using it,,,and BTW,,, I also don't let the daily horoscope strictly direct my life, either.

Good Fortune to you,,,smiles.

I have a little book on Feng Shui, but really haven't read it all the way through. It talks about keeping your living area neat and tidy and when it's not, it creates negative energy or something like that. I agree because I can't function when things are out of place and order. So, I guess it depends on the person.

I have had several different experiences. I have read several Feng Shui books and have done many cheap and inexpensive "Cures" . They all seemed to have a positive effect on me and my family. You not only move furniture for better placement and "flow". You also need to think positive thoughts. Make a consious decision to change for the better. Many sites on the web. David Kennedy , and Lillian Too are some of the people that I like.

Feng Shui really works, not something normal people notice but simply changing your posters on your wall in your room WILL change the way you feel when you wake up and open your eyes to your surroundings. ill use this as an example....its like living in a tree house or a modern, clean house, would that make a difference in your life? where and how you place things affect your life in all sorts of different ways. example... putting the head of your bed north is best since its the natural Chi of your body you tend to get better sleep and so forth. Feng Shui is everything in your home, EVERYTHING! including having one of every element in parts of your home such as the living room, to the shingles on your roof. its a mental, spiritual affirmation of the tree house you call your home. the chinese believe water bring tranquility and prosperity and such. go read a book on it and keep all this in mind. it works!

Now I am not sure as to what you mean by Feng Shui I get these things mixed up but if you mean things like bed positioning for better sleep or keeping the toilet lid down to stop flushing your money down the drain, then for some stange reason it seems to work for me. I realise that to some people I am a little crazy for my belief in this phenomina but it works for me.

Feng Shui is often just the formalisation of intuition. Which is probably a good thing, but also probably unnecessary.

Since the purpose of Feng Shui is to part stupid people from their money, yes! It works a treat!

Depends. Personally I find the suggestions helpful in creating relaxed but interesting designs. Do I practice personally, LOL, no! My life is a wreck. Still for designs it does force me to look at the whole environment, not just the room or garden, but the area beyond.
