Sounds like a short story I read, by Stephen King. I think it's called The Mangler or something (it's a story within the Night Shift book).
Not sure if it's been made into a film though, maybe www.imdb.com would be of some help

This sounds like it might have been between the reworkings of Mark Twain's novel "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's courtroom" - according to hazard "a baby in King Arthur's courtroom", "A Knight in Camelot" or "The Spaceman and King Arthur"?

if the movie is set in an old laundry facility and the machine is some sort of folding device, then it is 'the mangler' based on a short story by stephen king.
