Just smile and nod once or twice, then look away (if you are sitting next to each other) and don't look back (blocking out her voice and ignoring her). If you are standing or walking past, do the same Nod and Smile but, walk away or don't linger near her (and ignore her). Eventually (and hopefully soon), she will stop trying to engage you in conversation.
(Or, can you listen to music at work? I have had my headphones/earbuds on and not actually listened to music just to avoid similarly talkative people -- it works, too!)

Yesterday I showed my 6 year old a news clip video of a family that got booted off of a flight for being too rowdy and noisy. Today when he got noisy at the store, I said remember what happened to those kids that were bad on the plane... he happily followed the rules. It may not have been the best approach, but it will work for a while. Moral of the story is, you always have to change it up. Somethings work, games, Shhhhhhh, threats, but each kids responds to different things at different times. It's life.

You are not going to be able to tell her without her taking offence, no matter how you put it. I'd just be upfront, but polite, and tell her that you have a lot of trouble concentrating with conversation distracting you and need to focus on your work. If that doesn't work, be blunt and ask her to be quiet so you can get your work done. If that doesn't work, tell her you'll have to report the distraction if she doesn't knock it off. Last resort, report her.
Would be good to do this with witnesses within earshot.

If you ignore her and just refer to her for job related conversation in a decent matter , you should have no problem at all with her; she will notice that there is a bridge between you guys.

Stare at your monitor while she's talking and nod your head and go "uh-huh, uh-huh". She will catch on to the fact that you really aren't listening and go find a better audience.
