be inspired, listen to the money not your heart, art fails all, we are a meloncholy lot and seek all and slice it so many ways, the toys+(skills) we have to build are few and far in between, and encouragements are in the hands of sadistic annolalogies of contempt, why?, artists need to be supported not pushed,i have to say is those who lead, are worn down by the mass that tear everything apart, your internal strength to inspire art work out of others is to face their frustrations do you endure or care for your self, achievments are extremely few and the list of dangerious possiblities are grinding at the door of art constently, if you can fill your elephant folio of career in art knowledge go forth and be strong, for the challenges to make artist are too many and the fools are dominating the classes with wastes of presious time, think that if art has meaning but few platforms of addressing a career in it and little respect because of the ego that make non-artists desire is the down fall of skills and the clash of wells, many things are here and few motivate back to the teachers, once i wanted to be the great art collector and antique dealer after finding art was not getting me any where fast i learned that the masses only contempt was to ridicule all that was wrong with the antiques compared to buying something new, wrong format and i was constently aware of the ideals of others were not of my liking and only bought for my self after that, teaching appreciation first and then art may have usefulness in students

Try is out as well! :) Volunteer a local art program at a elementry school or local art center and in a first grade class. Or consider blending the two. There are many resources about teaching childrens art and art history online.

I have a Master's of teaching and a BFA in fine arts. I have taught for years, but you must realize that teaching 5 year-olds in first grade is as challenging as it gets.
An art teacher of older children can be very rewarding. My high school art teacher is soley responsible for getting me to apply to a art college and I owe him everything for my career. He really made a difference with his passion for art and teaching. I hope that helped. Best Wishes.
