I think they are a bad influence on teenage girls who want to look just like them.

Well for one, there are some celebrities who are just naturally thin, and then others, like MK, who suffered form anorexia and made clear in statements that she hated the fact that some pro-ana's out there glorify her and want to be like her.
way back in the day, when you were either overweight or average, it was popular because it meant you had enough money for food... now if ur fat, or even AVERAGE, you are looked down upon. Obesity is yes, a growing crisis. but the strive to be thin, thinner and the thinnest is wayyy more out of hand and isnt getting as much attention as it should. Instead people glorify and give attention to people who really need to gain 10- 15lbs. Look at the magazine stand at the store with all the diet advice, commericals on tv for weight loss pills, people in the media who are way thin and considered what normal women should strive to be like, look at how parents are puting their already normal sized kids on diets..
iIts spinning out of controll.
People who are in a position of influencing other shoudl speak UP about dieting and how not to go too far, or help bring some awareness to how serious eating disorders are. Not just sit there, looking emaciated and try to look pretty....

They look awful! Women are under so much pressure to be skinny! WHY??
They actually have the physique of a person who is starving!
I'm not referring to genuine anorexics here, just those celebs. who are making themselves ill and UGLY!!!

Probably the same as I would think of anyone who was anorexic...They are just under more pressure from the media. Its not a nice thing to have.

It's sad, and it always makes me think of Karen Carpenter.
when an artist dies for a stupid reason you feel a little upset, especially if you were looking forward to at least another 10 or 20 years of music/acting/etc.

You forgot Lindsay Lohan and Lara Flynn Boyle.
They look like concentration camp victims.
Very unsexy.

that people have to gossip/critisize others only because they have a mental disease, what do you mean, what do i think of them? ive never met them- i dont know what kind of personality they really have- i only know whats on tv...... i think people like you should be ashamed of yourself, just because they have alot of wealth and popularity doesnt mean that their feelings dont get hurt when others talk about them- dont you have any better questions to ask...... ones that can be answered?
