Has there any research studies been done in this area? Do you move the phone from one ear to the other while in a coversation, if yes, How often?

Persons who are deaf in one ear never switch back from their good ear. This is also true of persons with one arm. Persons who talk for less than one or two minutes rarely switch from ear to ear. Persons who talk for lengthy periods switch ears approximately every 10 minutes.

Sounds like a governement sponsored study. Spend a lot of money to find out something that no one cares about, benefits no one, and is meaningless.
