Here are the instructions. I hope that they work for you.
Uninstalling Internet Explorer 7
To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and restore Internet Explorer 6 when using Windows XP or Windows Server 2003
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Add or Remove Programs.
3. You might have to CHECK the box that says SHOW UPDATES
4. Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 7, click it, and then click Change/Remove.
If you cannot find Internet Explorer 7 in Add or Remove Programs, click Start, click Run, type
%windir%\ ie7beta3\ spuninst\ spuninst.exe.
(I added spaces after the \ so it would show here)
and then press ENTER.
For more information, check this page at the Microsoft website. http://msdn.microsoft.com/ie/releasenotes/
If you have further trouble, you might try the RESTORE thing in the System Tools folder and go back a few days before you made this terrible mistake.
Good luck

I have IE7 and it's nothing special. It has some major improvements to IE6, but compared with other browsers (Firefox, Opera, Maxthon, etc.) it's still far behind them in terms of features, customizability, effectiveness, and security. It's definitely worth the upgrade but don't expect to see any new features you haven't seen elsewhere.
As far as uninstalling goes, you should be able to do this via Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.

No, I haven't. I don't like the look of it, it looks too much like FireFox. There is an ongoing battle between all the web browsers. They all pretty much offer the same stuff, but IE is definately needed to download updates from Microsoft Update, so it's really up to you, if you want to upgrade to IE7. I would say that if you are using IE6, go for it, if you're using any other browser, don't bother.

It's good but not earth shattering. It feels like they're following in the wake of Firefox with tabs and extra plugins.
The IE7 site has clear instructions on installation/uninstallation.

I tried it yesterday, but went back to IE6. For my purposes, I didn't see an improvement and it was hard or impossible to find certain old and familiar tabs. I also didn't like that so much of it seemed to be joined at the hip to Yahoo!. So, for me, if it ain't broke....

Yes, I have, I thought it might be the reason I can't log in my yahoo account. But no luck! So far I like it and it seems easy to operate, the buttons take some getting used to.
