Wanting to start a lingerie business but need some tips??
I want to sell high end lingerie. Do you know of any websites for wholesale suppliers? Also, how/where can I get samples before I buy in bulk?

Best suggestion I can give you.
Obtain a license as a retail dealer.
This has to be done through your Secretary of State.
With that, you can/should attend a lingerie show/market. With a license you'll be able to register at the market and gain entrance. The markets usually last 5-6 days. They often begin on a Sunday and end on Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Sunday through Wednesday are the busiest, so you might plan on a Tuesday arrival, your choice. Reps will have more time to spend with you. They usually leave by Thursday or Friday, as traffic slows down.
You may enjoy a longer stay from Sunday.

You will then see all the lines and be able to speak to sales representatives in your city. You may find that some lines may not be available to you as well as those which are.

You very likely will be invited to some free parties after market closes. These are usually held Sunday-Tuesday evenings.

This will be the most informative experience you can get. If you decide not to do this, you are only out the cost of a license for one year, and a short subscription. No great amount, but well worth the experience.
Meeting and talking with other buyers will be interesting.
To attend a market, you will need to make hotel reservations well in advance. Hotels sell out as much as a few months prior to market.

Go to the web site for "Women's Wear Daily". You can subscribe to it and it will contain all the latest news and fashions, as well as the Market dates and locations nearest to you.

At this late date, most all orders have been placed/and received for the holidays. Markets may open in late January next.

:-) How lovely you are helping her. I think there is a market for cups which actually fit!!! SO MANY women are wearing the wrong bra size because they don't design them round enough. I am a 36DD so it's important to have great support. I love lace, and colours which are sexy like hot pink...turquoise. I think the most important thing is the 'cut' of the lingerie - you really want it to flatter women. Be it....... The woman looks amazing in the lingerie..... not the lingerie looks amazing on the woman ;-) Good luck!
