have enough internet savvy to post a question on Yahoo Answers, and yet, they do not know how to use simple search engines such as wikipedia and google? Also, why are there so many typos when spell check is available? I'm dying to know....

p.s. I'm being sarcastic! Just trying to point out the sheer idiocy of certain questions, lol

With Google, and wikipedia you often have to scroll through pages of useless information to get the exact answer you need. Why would you do such a thing when you can give up 5 points, ask a question and check your e-mail for multiple answers? But, as far as the typo's go, I think its people who don't spell check their documents.Probably, it is the same people who didn't spell check their documents in school and got points deducted for spelling errors. But, I think you need to lighten up just a little bit, we are not submitting business proposals, we're just online having a good time.

So what if the questions are dumb, there are mis-spellings, its worth the simple entertainment!

People are lazy. Why would anyone just wait for the spell check? As I said people are impatient and lazy, they are! I'm lazy, I don't even like using the spell check. Sometimes, people also want to talk to other people while asking a question. If you just search it on google it takes too long and is frustrating to get the answer, honestly some of the questions posted couldn't be answered through google. That's is just it. That's why.

There are a lot of dumb questions from a lot of dumb people. If
you go to the person's Q&A page you can get an idea by the answers they have given or the other questions they have asked
So, if you have some one who has 0 Best Answers, 105 total points, & they received (neg-) 7 points last week, you know they
ask too many questions and they are dumb ones and they ones
they answer are all about good looks, crushes & sex and they
are only 13. Well, you get the idea. Deal with each individually.

That is because the Internet is the sacred sanctuary of nutters and idiots, to quote a certain character from 'The Manchurian Candidate.' That should explain why you see such stupidity on the Internet that you would not see anywhere else.

I think that some of the stupid people take advantage of the anonymity, where no one can ridicule them once they walk away from their computer screen.

now the search engine thing is understandable.. i wonder also why, most questions can be answered through the net.. in some form.

but spelling, typos.. things like that.. there's no need to wonder it's not important. that one must get over. never die to know why there's a typo or a misspelling. it is futile, moot and too common. one can figure out what another is typing just by reading most commentary even if it's the worst of grammar and spelling.

:D

oh and cristi@n mensa is a joke, write a check?

When I was in school i was told by a teacher

"man uses his head not to use his head and thinks about ways not to think"

That should answer your first question nicely.

As for why there are so many typos, to be honest even I submit stuff with typos coz if people are getting information from me the least they can do for reproducing something I said is do the corrections I have not bothered to do! hehe!

I've wondered this, too. Maybe they just want to reach out and have some human connection. And maybe they don't care about spelling errors.
