Find other relationships that are more rewarding than the one you're having with your computer! I used to spend all my free time in chat rooms 10 years ago, literally....... every spare second. Then I met my husband and had better things to do! Tell your friends (even if it's embarrassing) and ask them to call and go do things with you A LOT until you're not so addicted. If you have a spouse/significant other, same thing. I know people make fun of someone being "addicted" to their computer but it truly is an addiction, just like any other drug. The first step to any recovery is to admit you have a problem and asking someone for help. Way to go on step one!

Good luck

People can talk about it with their family doctor. I feel for people who are addicted to the computer. Mostly the stay at home ones. Their inside looking out at a world that they never get up and go out and see. The most common health problems sitting at a computer too much are eye problems and stomach problems. But its like any addiction. The person has to be willing to help themselfs.
Have a great day.

I wish I could tell you. I got my first computer a year ago, and I can't seem to stay away from it. I grew up in the country, I didn't know how much there is to see in the world.....there has got to be some line, and it is addicting for sure, but it's like many other things out there: it's all how you use it :)

back away from the keyboard -- turn off the monitor -- begin to read a nice book and run as fast as you can until you're in a park then play frisbee -- when you are done -- repeat!
