No sane person will accept the Iranian P.M's statement, which is an outright attack on the right of existence of another people and another sovereign nation. What is the precise reason for which Iran has the right to exist and Israel has not? That Israel is the home of people, the Islamic world disparagingly terms Zionists? That Israel occupies Palestine? That the US supports Israel?
From the day the Jewish people set foot on their Promised Land after barbaric persecution at the hands of Hitler's Germany, the neighbouring Islamic nations led by Nasser's Egypt set out to challenge their very existence. It is a matter of great glory that the people of the fledgling nation defended their homeland with determination against their enemy's superior fire power. One shameful defeat after another in open battles at the hands of Israel, has prompted Israel's neighbours, the Arab nations and the Islamic world to see the end of Israel through a covert and heinous war involving terrorism. Ever since, the proactive stance of Israel has been a consequence of their struggle for existence, which their avowed enemies are determined to deny them till date. It was never on account of their imperialist and expansionist policies. An attitude of accomodation from the Islamic countries might have helped to resolve the Palestinian problem by now. But even now they want to wipe out Israel as is clear from the Iranian P.M's statement. What wishful thinking! A lot of Israeli blood has been spilt and more continues to be spilled even today by terrorists masquerading as Palestinian freedom fighters. Against such odds Israel has the right to forcibly extract its pound of flesh. Consideration can be met with consideration. Inhumanity must be replied with inhumanity. Else the Devil will have his day. The US in siding with Israel has done a great service to humanity. It must never desert Israel.
If one looks at the record of the Arab world, it is an inglorious tale of subjugation of humanity. All usurping kings, tinpot dictators and fundamentalist Mullahs rule the roost and trample on the democratic aspirations and right of existence of their own people. Perhaps more people from this region have lost their lives at the hands of their own leaders than at the hands of Israel. Their leadership treats them no better than slaves and cattle to be fed and slaughtered at will. Women are brutally subjugated. No dissent is tolerated and dissenters are liquidated. International terrorism is promoted and funded in the name of crusade. Leaders from Nasser, Assad, Khomeini, Arafat and Saddam right down to the present dispensations find themselves in the rogue's gallery. Most of them were assasinated at the hands of their own people, whom they supposedly fought for and incited to wage war on Israel and the US. But they opportunistically put the blame on Israel and the US. This is the true picture of Israel's neighbours. If any, it is the leaders of these countries with mediavel mindsets who have no reason to exist. They are misfits in a civilised, modern world. Their time has run out. All right thinking nations must unite to put an end to these leaders of international terrorism. Israel, a modern nation with the right thinking, which treats its people with dignity must exist gloriously.

Putting aside the politics of the region:
Ahmadinejab's saying Israel would soon disappear is purely wishful thinking, unless of course he intends to start a war against Israel directly ... and not just the proxy war they just fought with Hezbollah as it's puppet.
As far as any sovereign nation suddenly having no reason to exist that make no sense. Think about it. Go along with me or a minute. Israel suddenly seasons to exist as a nation. It's people's
> suddenly find themselves in the midst of anarchy and turf wars because they longer have a central government or
> the arab nations around them suddenly become magnanimous and take them in or
> Ahmadinejab decides he's going to go for a second holocaust... of course he doesn't believe the FIRST one happened
None of those scenarios will ever happen.
Besides if you want to play words, does the fact that he said Israel "NO LONGER" has a reason to exist mean he is acknowledging for probably the first time that they once HAD a reason to.
Politics suck.

Hi , I am Iranian, I do know why our persident talks about wiping Israel while we have other problems to think about , what I think is that Ahmadinejad is doing exactly what America wants him to do , that is trigger America and Israel to attack our country and then taking advatage of our oil resources better.

Islamic point of view : Peaceful co-existance with all (provided of course that, no nation occupies your lands, your homes, kills your peoples, even children, destroy their homes and the means of livehoods, make their lives miserable, blockade and imprison and even poison their leaders (remember ARAFAT), bulldoze and shoot journalists who try to show the truth, etc etc...Isreal is doing exactly this and much more...so if the Iranian PM suggested that Isreal should be compensated by those who created the Holocaust , and if he talks about wiping out Isreal, then why is the western world so upset about it? Ahmedinijad only talked, Isreal is wiping out Palestinians every day n night over n over again !! )

These statements would make more sense if you changed the noun Israel to Iran.
It seems the Iranian prime minister is trying to paint Israel with the same brush the international community has used to paint Iran.
He should get more original and concentrate instead on improving Iran's image in the world community.

Certainly. He doesn't think that Israel, without the United Sates, has enough resources to destroy Iran. But Condi may just surprise him.

Well then Palestine has no reason to exsist. Iran has no reason to exsist by his own logic. After all it was started by a group of terrorists, because you ahve to take it's start as the Islamic Revolution. I could proably name a few others in teh last 50 years espically in that region and I don't think they are going anywhere either.

"Israel's reason to exist is to kill the arabs (moslems and christians ) ... they kill thousands of people under the mask of defending itself .. but the true reason is (the large zionic empire from the nile to furat)"
And I suppose the Holocaust never happened, either? Israel has just as much right to exist as Iran. Haven't noticed a lot of terrorist groups finding finiancial support and safe haven in Israel.
