Things to note:

Asians have a high rate of intermarriage. As it is, I have dated more white guys than Asian guys.

There are significant differences between acculturation (ability to adopt and assimilate into local culture) rates of Chinese-Americans and Japanese-Americans. For one thing, there are very few new Japanese immigrants. Most J-Americans have been here for a few generations already. Most of the ones I know are yonsei (third-gen). Chinese, however, are still coming in and many are either first or second generation Americans.

The less acculturated you are, the less likely you would be to marry outwardly.

But highly acculturated Asian Americans often pay a lot less attention to ethnicity than race (race does not equal ethnicity). So for many Asian Americans, the differences between white and Asian are far ore apparent than the differences between Chinese and Japanese.

The one thing I want to know is, what is it you mean to learn from this question? Do you think Chinese Americans and Japanese Americans are marrying each other in order to "fight back" against the white majority? Or do you perceive the intermarriage as a way to mend old rifts between the two countries (yes, I know the Japanese committed atrocities against the Chinese in the early part of the 20th century)?
