Some people don't try it because they are confident they will not like it. Others don't try it because they are afraid they WILL like it. Am I right?

I am surprised that anyone would take this as an insult. Perhaps it is that recognizing the term "addiction" as something that cannot be laughed at. If so, I am sorry. I meant no offense. (I think having an addiction to something good is good.)

Well, thanks, the person who called me a youngster; I'm 59 1/2. No, I fear I am out of date. You see, my understanding of the "causes" of homosexuality and bisexuality are that some are natural born, and some are by conscious decision. But perhaps it is only bisexuality that is the conscious decision. I don't know. For me, I've been all over the scale in my long and wicked life. And had a wicked lot of fun, too! LOL

16 down thumbs???? Please, explain to me what's so bad about what I said? I might take being compared to an addiction as a compliment: you know, witchy woman style. Was this really so offensive, and why? Honestly, it was not meant to be.

Well, I honestly am amazed at the reaction I got. I suppose the gay community cannot accept this as an appropriate metaphor, and I apologize. I will put best answer to a vote to atone for my sins.

You are comparing two different ideas. Heroin is drug that individuals get hooked on and take control of the mind and ones body. Homosexuality is not a drug or disease in my ways the jury is still out on exact cause homosexuality. Is it genetic or choice still being debated today.

I think I understand what you are saying, but the difference is that unless a childs mother was an addict, a child is not born addicted to heroin. On the other hand, we are all born with our specific sexual orientations.

Sorry youngster you're way off base as some of my brothers and sisters have stated.
Being gay is not a choise, it is the same as being straight-you're born this way.!

ummm not really. I mean it might be on some cases, but I personally don't feel that way. I mean if a person its afraid they might like it and they dont want to be putt in a situation like that then deep down inside that person really dosent want to be a gay.

I really do not understand your correlation here. No, i think some people do not try it because they do not have an interest in being gay. Others do because they are gay, and this is who they are.
God bless

No. Homosexuality isn't a choice, taking heroin is a choice.

Just like crack, meth, coke, or anything other vice. You pretty much said homosexuality is a bad thing. Your words not mine. I'm not gay, by the way, but I had to point that out.

Straights would never try it, because it's not in their nature. For gays its natural. For homophobes who have been repressing urges there's fear.
