Dragon has an owie on her middle finger. Why do people get offended when she shows it to them?

because they used to seeing that gesture in a bad light so they dont notice when an injury is being shown they take offence too quickly, i know how it feels coz i have a scar on my right middle finger and when i show someone they get offended... so i'v learnt to hold my finger in the process to let them know im showing them something not trying to offend them
